This policy explains what personal information victoriabcrealty.com collects, why, where it goes, and the choices you have. Effective 29 September 2026.

Who we are

This website is operated by Amit Khatkar, REALTOR® (BCFSA Representative (Trading), BCFSA licence 175027), of Saga Homes Group, with eXp Realty of Canada, Inc. What we collect

When you send us a form or use the chat: your name, email, mobile number, your message, the preferences you choose (for example area, property type, price range, bedrooms, and whether you are buying or selling), the page you sent it from, whether you gave consent to be contacted and to receive text messages, and how you reached the site (for example the advertising campaign or search, and the click identifier the ad platform added to the link).

While you browse: saved listings, recently viewed listings, quiz answers and similar preferences are kept in your own browser so the site can remember them. They stay on your device and are sent to us only if you submit a form, where they help us understand what you are looking for.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry, send the listing alerts you asked for, arrange showings and calls, and understand which of our pages and advertising bring people who want to work with us. We do not sell personal information.

Where it goes

Enquiries are stored in the customer relationship management systems we use to respond to you (BoldTrail, provided through eXp Realty, and GoHighLevel), and a notification is emailed to Amit Khatkar. These providers process your information on our behalf to deliver our service.

Advertising and measurement

We use advertising and analytics tools from Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics) and Meta (the Meta pixel) to measure which advertising brings enquiries and bookings, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested. These tools use cookies and similar technologies in your browser.

  • Listing details are never shared with these tools. The Meta pixel is not loaded on individual listing pages, and on those pages Google receives only a generic page name, not the address, MLS® number or price.
  • Your form answers are never sent to them. We report that a form was submitted or a call was booked, not what you wrote.
  • Hashed contact matching. When you submit a form, we may send Google and Meta a one-way encrypted (SHA-256 hashed) version of your email address and phone number, created in your browser or on our server. The platforms use it only to match the conversion to an account they already hold; the hash cannot be turned back into your email or phone number, and we never send them in readable form.
  • Google signals. We use Google Analytics with Google signals. Google signals associates visit data with the Google accounts of visitors who are signed in to Google and have turned on ads personalisation. Google uses this to give us aggregated, anonymous reports about the age range, gender and interests of our visitors, and to understand visits across devices. We see only these aggregated reports, never information about an individual. You can control this in your Google account at My Ad Center.

Your choices: use the "Opt out of ad cookies" link at the foot of every page and these tools stop loading in your browser. You can also adjust advertising in Google's My Ad Center and in Meta's ad preferences, or block cookies in your browser settings.

Text messages

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Full details are in our SMS privacy policy and SMS terms.

Listing data on this site comes from the REALTOR.ca DDF® and belongs to the listing brokerages and CREA. See our terms of use.

How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep enquiry information for as long as we are working with you or you remain subscribed, and afterwards for as long as the law and our brokerage's record-keeping obligations require. Under Canadian privacy law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent at any time.
